This prestigious Financial Services Organisation has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join its dynamic team as a Strategic Financial Operations Manager. The role offers a unique chance to contribute to significant financial initiatives and support the finance operations for Ireland's sovereign development and wealth funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to support the finance operations for Ireland's sovereign development and wealth funds.
  • Prepare and review due diligence on new direct loans and alternative investments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review partnership agreements and interpret reporting requirements, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Administer loans, including reviewing facility agreements and calculating interest and repayments, maintaining accurate records.
  • Review investee allocations and capital account statements, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and review accounting journals and quarterly reporting to the Investment Valuation Committee, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Manage the year-end direct equity valuation process with external valuers and auditors, ensuring smooth completion.
  • Train, coach, and mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, with knowledge of Private Market and Hedge products.
  • Experience managing a team of finance professionals, with strong leadership skills.
  • Third level qualification preferably in Finance or Accounting (or related field), with relevant certifications.
  • Experience in the administration and accounting of investments such as equities, bonds, funds, loans, derivatives, and alternatives, with excellent analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management systems and finance transformation projects, with ability to adapt to change.
