Role Overview
A Social Services Professional is required to provide support and assistance to adults with intellectual disabilities in Kilkenny.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of personal and social supports through day and residential services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, intervene, and provide input into person-centred program planning
- Empower service users to advocate for themselves and their needs
- Advocate on behalf of service users and seek input from families and next of kin
- Promote community participation and inclusion for service users
- Support goal setting and achievements for service users
This role will involve working across residential and day centres and some outreach to adults living at home.
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification as a social worker and registration with CORU
- Some postgraduate experience, preferably within an intellectual disability service or multi-disciplinary team
- Full driving licence and access to a car due to travel requirements
