Job Overview:We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Galway. As part of our Institutional Technology group, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing high-performance, secure and scalable applications that support our business.

About the Role:You will work closely with other software engineers, quality engineers and systems analysts as a senior member of a scrum team to deliver key customer features. Your role will involve collaborating openly with colleagues, communicating effectively and promoting Agile development practices.

The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who thrives in a team environment, is passionate about software development and has an interest in learning and developing using the latest technologies and frameworks. You should also have strong communication skills and the ability to work under minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, innovative and maintainable software solutions, participate in architecture and application design and mentor junior team members. You will also focus on improving engineering, architectural and coding standards.

What We Offer: In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop professionally within our organisation. You will work on exciting new projects building innovative capabilities to support the rollout of new Digital Asset financial instruments in the Institutional market.

Required Skills and Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Information Technology related field is required. 5+ years' experience in software application design and development is also necessary. Desired skillset includes object-oriented development experience, primarily Java/J2EE, Spring/SpringBoot, REST Services, Cloud, CI/CD and front-end experience in Angular (or other TypeScript/JavaScript languages). Knowledge of test automation and test-driven development is also important.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Agile methodologies, knowledge of Blockchain and proficiency in multiple programming languages are all advantages.
