Caregiver Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to join our team at Camphill Communities of Ireland. As a Social Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in community activities and develop social skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring seamless communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework or equivalent qualification in Community/Health or Social Care.
  • Have 1 year of experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office software and other relevant technology.
