This is a challenging and rewarding role in our R&D team, where you will work on developing medical devices for Orthopedic Surgeons. You will be responsible for planning and designing these devices to meet regulations and expectations.
About the Opportunity- As a Medical Device Software Engineer Co-Op Student, you will perform a wide range of technical tasks, including software development, prototyping, and testing.
- You will assist in problem solving, root cause analysis, and identify potential solutions.
- You will conduct research and studies to support product design.
- Under supervision, you will assist in the design, development, modification, and verification of software for medical devices.
- You will participate in prototyping and bench testing.
- You will support problem solving, root cause analysis, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements.
- Under supervision, you will conduct research and studies to support product design.
- Studying or completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Software or Electronic Engineering, Robotics or related discipline.
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of embedded software engineering practices and tools, design principles within a regulated environment.
- Basic knowledge of programming in Embedded C and C++ (required), Python (desirable).
- BASIC knowledge of testing/maintaining/debugging software using hardware tools.
