Job Title: Scientific Expert - Pharmaceutical Development

Description: We are seeking an experienced Scientific Expert to join our team in the development of pharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, including equipment qualification and documentation generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive laboratory operations within the new facility, ensuring seamless transition and process establishment.
  • Review and lead the trending and reporting of laboratory data to support batch release and maintain oversight of review metrics.
  • Maintain and release laboratory stock, ordering consumables as required.
  • Participate in functional meetings, leading departmental and cross-functional meetings where necessary.
  • Support internal and external audit and inspection activities, ensuring permanent inspection readiness.
  • Perform supporting GMP activities and troubleshooting for general lab operations, EM, and facility testing.
  • Execute in-process and drug substance analysis studies, leading or participating in laboratory projects.
  • Support the introduction of novel solutions, collaborating with the global Microbiology Center of Excellence and participating in lean lab methodologies.
  • Organize and establish testing schedules, adhering to deadlines.

Requirements:

  • A degree qualification in a relevant field (Biological Sciences/Engineering), preferably with a background in microbiology.
  • An advanced degree (e.g., MSc) qualification is desirable.
  • Extensive experience working in a relevant industry field.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a constructive manner.
  • Technical knowledge with Biologics drug substance manufacturing and microbiological testing techniques.
  • Ability to think logically and be proactive under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills.
