Woodworking Supervisor

Our organization is seeking an experienced Woodworking Supervisor to coordinate and manage all direct labor, subcontractors, and trades. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all works are completed according to a tight schedule, with adequate resources allocated to each task.

• Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, trades, and labor to meet project deadlines.
• Implement effective health and safety measures on site to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain the highest standards of quality in all work produced, identifying and addressing any defects or issues promptly.
• Facilitate regular safety briefings and toolbox talks to keep team members informed and engaged.
• Assign tasks and resolve conflicts between crew members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee the execution of projects, including quality control, production, and adherence to job specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and measurements to ensure that completed work meets expectations.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of site activity, progress, and performance.
• Provide timely updates on project status as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the woodworking industry.
• A strong background in joinery, with a focus on quality and precision.
• Previous experience in the retail sector is advantageous, as is extensive experience managing subcontractors.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with PC software and systems.
