Jacksonstone Recruitment is seeking an experienced Logistics Management Assistant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for logistics and coordination to work in a dynamic environment.
About the Position:
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating logistics and managing day-to-day operations to ensure seamless distribution of products. You will work closely with sales and purchasing teams to process orders, manage inventory, and coordinate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Support: Process Sales Order Processing (SOP), provide excellent customer support by fielding calls and responding to queries, collaborate with the Sales Team to provide information related to order fulfillment and product costings, and foster and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Purchasing Tasks: Process Purchase Order Processing (POP), track and confirm POPs, act as the primary contact for suppliers as needed, monitor stock orders and drop shipments to ensure timely delivery, advise suppliers on non-conformance issues, cultivate relationships with suppliers and approve invoices when necessary, and coordinate customs clearance with suppliers and clearing agents.
- Logistics Coordination: Assign sales orders to daily truck routes and notify drivers of relevant preparations, process orders for picking and liaise with the Operations Department on outbound delivery requirements, and manage deliveries and collections with third-party haulage partners for ex-stock and drop shipments.
- Quality Assurance: Update quality folders and help collect quality documentation from suppliers, assist in the product approval process, and issue quality information to customers as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (intermediate level)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong time management skills and acute attention to detail
- A proven track record in reporting
