Design Engineering Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced design engineering leader to oversee the mechanical and electrical design of complex projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading design teams, improving processes, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design and engineering activity on major projects, including power transmission, cooling systems, and telecommunications.
  • Manage and develop design teams across multiple regions, cultures, time zones, and approaches.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to resolve complex issues and ensure project success.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance design efficiency and quality.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop engineers to achieve career growth and job satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in design engineering (mechanical, electrical, or both).
  • Experience leading design teams on large-scale projects.
  • Able to make informed decisions under pressure and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop design teams.
