Job Title: Non-Life Reserving Actuary

We are seeking a highly skilled actuary to join our team in reserving non-life insurance policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the deep dive reserve reviews, working closely with underwriters, pricing actuaries, and claims teams to determine appropriate actuarial central estimate reserves.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a reserving role with a leading non-life re/insurer. They should be a fellow or associate of an internationally recognized actuarial society and possess excellent communication skills, business judgement, and the ability to solve complex issues with pragmatic solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the deep dive reserve reviews for the company's P&C portfolios outside of the Americas.
  • Support the quarterly financial close process, ensuring that the company's financial statements accurately reflect the latest reserving position.
  • Process development - drive automation and enhance data-driven reserving processes and actuarial MI.
  • Ensure a regular flow of reserving information to and from key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a reserving role with a leading non-life re/insurer.
  • Fellow or associate of an internationally recognized actuarial society.
  • Excellent communication skills, business judgement, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, and experience with VBA.
  • Experience working with ResQ and other data systems/reports.
