Chief Legal Strategist

The company is seeking an experienced, strategic and commercially astute senior legal advisor to lead the legal function of its reinsurance operations.
This is a key leadership position that requires someone with expertise in managing legal risk, supporting business initiatives, and providing guidance on corporate governance matters.
Main Responsibilities- Provide legal advice across all areas of the business, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
- Lead a global team through effective coordination of functional activities to achieve business objectives.
- Manage the complexities of a hybrid office environment by promoting open communication, collaboration, and innovation.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring workload is distributed efficiently among team members.
- Maintain high standards in all aspects of the business, focusing on excellence in execution and continuous improvement.
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 15 years PQE experience in financial services, specifically life assurance, pensions, or reinsurance.
- Proven track record in M&A, structured financing, and asset transactions, with strong knowledge of financial services sector regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in senior leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to drive business growth and success.
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to process complex information quickly and make informed decisions.
