The key objective of this role is to develop the job description and supporting documentation under the guidance of a Health Care Provider's governance group. This will enable the nurse to meet the criteria for registration as a Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP), as outlined in the Advanced Practice Standards.
The post holder will undertake academic preparation and develop the clinical, leadership skills, competencies, and knowledge necessary for registration as a RANP. The scope of the ANP role is designed to reflect incremental development of expertise and cannot operate as an autonomous practitioner.
