We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at Enable Ireland Cork Services, Curraheen.

This role is part of our Physical Disability Support Services Team, where you will be working closely with the Children's Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) and Primary Care Teams (PCTs) to provide specialist physiotherapy services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess a recognized Physiotherapy qualification from CORU and extensive experience in pediatric physiotherapy, specifically in the area of physical disability.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality services, including spasticity management, complex postural and seating assessments, gait analysis, and service planning.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also be expected to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development, training provision, clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist physiotherapy services to support the CDNTs and PCTs in motor management.
  • Deliver services including spasticity management, complex postural and seating assessments, gait analysis, and service planning.
  • Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the required area of physical disability specialism.
  • Promote excellence in clinical practice through participation in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, and teaching.
Requirements
  • Hold a recognized Physiotherapy qualification from CORU.
  • Be registered on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Have 5 years' experience as a Senior Physiotherapist in Paediatric Physiotherapy.
  • possess a minimum of 5 years' full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience in paediatric (0-18 years) physical disability.
  • Demonstrate achievement in areas of clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, and teaching.
