**Job Overview**

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Clinical/Educational Psychologist (Staff Grade) to join our team in Galway City West. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing psychological services to children aged 0-18 and their families.

**Responsibilities**
  • Work collaboratively with the Child Development Network Manager and psychology colleagues to provide an integrated service to children and their families.
  • Provide consultation and support programs for parents and families as needed.
  • Prepare reports and share information with relevant stakeholders, refer to other professionals, and liaise with schools and external agencies as necessary.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings and case conferences.
  • Foster a family-centered approach by integrating clinical/educational psychology skills with current theory and evidence-based knowledge.
  • Ensure informed consent prior to and throughout interventions.
  • Collaborate effectively with the child/young person and work in partnership with their parent, family, or carer to identify goals.
  • Apply clinical reasoning to plan, implement, and modify interventions that are outcome-based and relevant to the child's or young person's goals.
  • Evaluate and apply outcomes of intervention in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Manage a caseload and coordinate interventions with other team members and agencies to ensure an optimal service for all service users.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current caseload management procedures in collaboration with the team manager and team.
