
Home Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate home care assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to our clients. As a home care assistant, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with personal and practical care, facilitating independence and social involvement, and ensuring that the client's dignity, privacy, and independence are maintained and respected.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with meal preparation and household chores
- Transport clients to appointments and social events
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be required to report any issues or concerns to your manager in a timely and professional manner.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and a patient, empathetic approach to working with clients.
- Diploma or certificate in healthcare or a related field (desirable)
- QQI level 5 Healthcare modules - Care Skills and Care of the Elderly (required)
- Patient moving & handling certificate (or training provided)
- International Police Clearance (where applicable)
We offer a competitive pay rate of €14.00-€20.00 per hour, depending on experience, as well as flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. You will also receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you develop your skills and progress in your career.
