The General Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within the required standards. This involves implementing Company and legal regulations, managing equipment and materials, and recording daily work on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to health and safety legislation and quality.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements.
- Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings.
- Manage and coordinate the work of gangs/site operatives, maintaining work standards and outlining behavioural expectations.
- Share and pass on knowledge to teams, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors on site, ensuring plant and equipment checks are completed as required.
- Periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production, overseeing the execution of work including quality and production.
