Dispensing Expert

As a key member of the pharmacy team, the Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer and patient care. The role involves working under the guidance of a qualified pharmacist to provide accurate and timely dispensing of medicines.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, record, and assemble prescriptions accurately.
  • Issue receipts and collaborate with pharmacists on complexities or changes.
  • Provide over-the-counter medicines, recommending suitable options and referring to pharmacists when necessary.
  • Monitor and review dispensing processes to minimize errors.
• Customer Service:
  • Deal with customers professionally and efficiently, adhering to standards of customer service.
  • Escalate issues to Duty Managers as needed.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with team members for seamless delivery of service.
• Training and Development:
  • Participate in training programs and take initiative in developing job functions.
  • Build competency and knowledge in scheme requirements.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, ensuring clear, understandable, and frequent communication.
• Business Acumen:
  • Understand the pharmacy business and the Pharmacy Technician's role within it.
  • Cover shifts in various locations as required.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Pharmacy Technician Qualification (mandatory).
  • Pharmacy experience (preferable).
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
