Expert Fire Engineering Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Irish building and fire safety regulations and experience with fire modelling and analytical tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive fire engineering solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, and public sector projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with Irish Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Document B (TGD-B), and other applicable legislation.
  • Conduct thorough fire risk assessments, code compliance reviews, and performance-based designs.
  • Liaise with architects, design teams, contractors, and statutory bodies to integrate fire safety into the design and construction process.
  • Lead on FSC (Fire Safety Certificates), DAC (Disability Access Certificates), and BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) submissions.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive reports and technical documentation to support approvals and tender processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge development.
  • Stay abreast of evolving standards, codes, and best practices in fire safety engineering.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree-qualified in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in fire engineering, ideally within consultancy or the Irish construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of Irish building and fire safety regulations.
  • Experience with fire modelling and analytical tools (e.g., FDS, Pathfinder).
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or on the path to chartership.
  • Excellent communication, report-writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead projects independently while supporting team collaboration.
