Principal Geo-Environmental Specialist

A leading environmental consultancy seeks a highly experienced Geo-Environmental Consultant to join their team in Dublin or Cork.
This is a unique opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including large-scale brownfield developments, landfill assessments, renewable energy schemes, and complex hydrogeology investigations.
The Role:- Lead geo-environmental and hydrogeological site investigations and monitoring programmes.
- Deliver robust technical reports, including Preliminary Risk Assessments (PRA), Generic and Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments (GQRA/DQRA).
- Manage project teams, ensure timely delivery to high standards, and mentor junior colleagues.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing expert advice and maintaining strong relationships.
- Support the preparation of tenders and technical proposals.
- Hold a degree qualification in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related discipline (MSc desirable).
- Have 4+ years experience in contaminated land and/or hydrogeology.
- Be Chartered status or working towards chartership.
- Have proven experience managing geo-environmental or hydrogeological projects.
- Have a strong understanding of environmental legislation, field investigation techniques, and laboratory data interpretation.
- Exhibit excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Show a collaborative approach with a client-focused mindset.
