Caregiver Role

As a Caregiver at our facilities, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and support to residents.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess the ability to provide physical care and assistance to patients.

  • Provide patient care related support including services relative to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by Charge Nurse per established departmental guidelines.
  • Document appropriately into patient record charting based on skill level and follows established standards and guidelines.
  • Accurately complete personal belonging sheet, obtain and record height, weight, and vital signs, orientate new resident to the facility and unit, ensure that resident receives an arm band and provides resident with a labeled admission kit.
  • Answer call lights promptly and respond to all resident needs.
  • Complete rounds as assigned and throughout course of duty.
  • Turn and reposition residents every 2 hours; reposition seated residents every hour.
  • Take vital signs and weights accurately and report to Charge Nurse promptly and accurately.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state where you will be working.
  • CPR certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Long-term care experience is a plus.
