We are seeking an experienced Building Structure Specialist to join our team at Clifton Scannell Emerson Associates. As a key member of our structural project engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, supervision, and monitoring of building projects across various sectors including Industrial, Residential, Commercial, Educational, Healthcare, and Civic Buildings.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical knowledge of structural engineering and the construction process, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You should be a diligent team player who is willing to take responsibility and work comfortably as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design building structures to Eurocodes using various materials
  • Prepare manual calculations and use software packages such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, and TEDDS; knowledge of Revit is desirable
  • Maintain design folders
  • Communicate with internal and external parties
  • Prepare design drawings and review drawings prepared by others
  • Undertake site inspections as required under BCAR 2014
  • Report writing
  • Review contractor and design team proposals
  • Assist in undertaking duties of the PSDP, Assigned Certifier, and Ancillary Certifier
