About the Job:
The Senior Operating Department Practitioner will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality anaesthetic care within a safe and effective environment.
Key responsibilities include possessing specialized knowledge and skills in anaesthesia, pre/post anaesthesia care, and coordinating care according to BSHS standards in conjunction with the CNMII.
Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to patients in accordance with HCPC standards, ensuring patient safety, dignity, and holistic support throughout the surgical pathway while working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
Practice perioperative care in accordance with current legislation, professional standards, and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe and ethical patient management throughout the surgical process.
Contribute to the formulation, development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to anaesthesia care.
In collaboration with the clinical team, make decisions regarding anaesthetic and post-anaesthetic care in accordance with agreed protocols.
Participate in the provision of patient care, to ensure the highest professional standards, using an evidence-based approach.
