Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our communications department. This is a key role in developing and implementing cohesive communications plans that align with our strategic goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of communications professionals and overseeing the implementation of our communications strategy. They will also develop and implement innovative institutional and programmatic communications campaigns that enhance our brand awareness and engage our target audience.

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of communications plans that align with our strategic goals
  • Lead a team of communications professionals and provide guidance on best-practice and emerging trends in arts and culture communications
  • Develop and implement innovative institutional and programmatic communications campaigns
  • Actively develop and manage our brand by raising awareness of our cultural institution as a leading visitor attraction and growing its international profile
  • Oversee the implementation of our audience strategy with relevant stakeholders
  • Implement evidence-based and innovative communications campaigns that align with our mission, purpose and values
  • Develop and optimize the use of our digital communications channels in support of key exhibitions and programs
  • Plan and oversee press and media campaigns that raise our institutional profile and reach our target visitor, participation and ticket sales levels
  • Research and direct advertising campaigns for relevant exhibitions and programs
  • Oversee the production of institutional publications and other printed materials that maintain brand consistency, messaging and impact
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards including the Official Languages Act, EU Web Accessibility Directive and Media Regulation Bill
  • Develop and implement internal communications campaigns that enhance the distribution of information to employees and employee engagement
  • Maintain communications with key stakeholders ensuring clear, consistent, and effective messaging
