We are seeking a seasoned Principal Ecologist to join our team in delivering high-quality ecological consultancy services.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy and possess excellent technical report writing skills. They will be responsible for managing individual contracts, providing expert ecological input, planning and conducting site ecological surveys, and preparing environmental reports.
Key Responsibilities- Manage contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services
- Provide expert ecological input for various projects
- Plan, conduct, and supervise site ecological surveys and fieldwork
- Prepare and monitor the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans
- Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs)
- Bachelor's degree in ecology or related subject
- Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consultancy
- Member of CIEEM, CIWEM, or equivalent professional body
- Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within Ireland
- Excellent communication and project management skills
This role offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the renewable energy, waste management, and civil infrastructure sectors. We are looking for an experienced ecologist who can contribute to the growth and success of our business.
