Job Description:

The Health and Safety Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Health and Safety Management System that meets the requirements of the Global EHS Management and Technical Standards, ISO and OHSAS standards, and other external regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust contractor management system to ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records of contractor safety performance and training.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all EHS policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with Managers / Team Leaders to ensure employees are trained to a defined competency standard with all applicable EHS policies and procedures.
  • Perform risk assessments throughout the plant and oversee and monitor training on risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Occupational Safety & Health Level 8, or equivalent, or a degree in a related discipline.
  • FETAC Level 6: Manual Handling Instructor and Assessor.
  • FETAC Level 6: Train the Trainer.
  • FETAC Level 5: Qualified Occupational First Aider.
  • Internal Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditor (ISO) Working at Heights Instructor Trainer.
  • Radiological Protection Training Course.
  • Safe Pass Health and Safety Awareness Training Programme.
