Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to lead and manage our clinical pharmacy service. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a high standard of professional knowledge and experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all required legislative, quality, and governance standards are met, as well as working with management to develop and extend services. They will provide advice, direction, support, and supervision to staff members, and will be expected to demonstrate depth and breadth of hospital pharmacy experience.

This is a full-time, temporary position available at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore (MRHT). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and will be part of a team that is committed to providing high-quality health and social care services.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must:
  • Be a registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered
  • Have at least five years satisfactory post-registration hospital experience
  • Possess a high standard of administrative, managerial, or business ability
  • Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
