About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to fill a part-time position in our veterinary hospital.

The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of experience, a strong interest in small animal practice, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and provide high-quality patient care in accordance with the standards of the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
  • Manage a wide range of cases and perform surgical procedures with confidence and precision.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and prescribe medications safely and effectively.
  • Provide clear, empathetic communication with clients regarding diagnostics, treatment options, and care plans.
  • Promote preventative healthcare plans and insurance to support optimal patient wellbeing.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver consistent, compassionate veterinary care.
  • Participate in staff training and contribute to maintaining best practice standards.
  • Carry out administrative tasks including referral letters, laboratory submissions, vaccination records, passports, and insurance forms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Membership of the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
  • Strong surgical and clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-care abilities.
  • Motivation to develop professionally within a supportive team environment.
