• Monitor the health of pregnant women and their unborn babies during pregnancy, providing vital care and support.
• Offer comprehensive antenatal care, including health education and screening tests, to ensure the best possible outcomes for mother and baby.
• Provide emotional and practical support to expectant mothers, helping them navigate this life-changing experience.
• Assist during labour and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
• Administer pain relief and conduct emergency procedures if necessary, acting with precision and composure under pressure.
• Assess and monitor the progress of labour, making informed decisions to ensure the best possible outcome.
• Provide immediate care to new-borns, including initial assessments and breastfeeding support, to help them thrive in their early days.
• Offer postnatal care, monitoring recovery and mental health, to support women during this vulnerable time.
• Refer patients to obstetricians or other specialists when complications arise, prioritizing their care and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient care, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
• Educate and counsel parents on new-born care, feeding, and family planning, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Support women with miscarriages, stillbirths, or other pregnancy losses, offering compassionate care and understanding.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.

• Registration with the relevant regulatory body.
• A minimum of 12 months experience as a Midwife, demonstrating expertise and confidence.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with patients and colleagues.
• Valid eligibility to work in the country, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• A driver's license is advantageous, facilitating travel to different locations.
