**Job Title:** Associate Director, Operational Excellence

In the role of Associate Director, Operational Excellence at Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of operational excellence initiatives across our integrated production system.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, with experience in analyzing complex end-to-end supply chains and driving process improvements. You will also have hands-on experience with Lean tools and techniques, including standardized work, scientific problem solving, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, SMED, and 5S-Visual Factory.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with leaders and sites in your region to develop plans and execute performance improvement activities that support short, mid-term, and long-term plans based on state-of-the-art GMPS improvement methods and standards.

You will influence and link improvement objectives to the highest division priorities, always targeting longer term sustainable performance while achieving short-term improvements.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing Lean management and people development processes and plans to enable the supported area to efficiently operate the continuous improvement system as supposed to simply tools, in a self-reliant way.

Additionally, you will manage end-to-end processes and projects to drive results and realize intended business benefit, short-term but importantly long-term and year-over-year.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Partner with Functional leaders, Plant Managers, and their leadership teams to develop plans and execute performance improvement activities.
  2. Influence and link improvement objectives to the highest division priorities.
  3. Develop Lean management and people development processes and plans.
  4. Manage end-to-end processes and projects to drive results.
