Actuarial Consultant Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to support our growth and expansion in Ireland. This role offers exposure to diverse challenges, enabling growth and development in an internationally connected actuarial practice.
About the Job
- This is a key position that will contribute to intellectual capital development and new business generation.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong balance of stakeholder and project lead experience combined with technical understanding of actuarial and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality actuarial consulting services to clients.
- Supporting senior colleagues in building and maintaining client relationships by assisting with requests for proposals and developing sales materials.
- Communicating effectively with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and meet internal and client expectations.
- Contributing to the development of innovative solutions and staying up-to-date with developments and initiatives in insurance and reinsurance markets.
Requirements
- A qualified life actuary with 3-4 years' post-qualification experience in a consulting role.
- A deep understanding of IFRS 17, with experience in implementation, setting methodology, BAU readiness, and reporting.
- Proven experience and knowledge of Capital/Solvency II, financial modelling, and risk management techniques, and reinsurance.
- The ability to lead medium-sized projects (around 5+ colleagues).
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, delivering quality results on time and within budget, with a strong client service orientation.
