Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire Security Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Security Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining fire detection, access control, CCTV systems, and intruder alarm systems to the applicable British and European Standards.

The successful candidate will have experience in working with various fire and security systems, including fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems. They will also possess excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a logical manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, service, and maintain fire detection, access control, CCTV systems, and intruder alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot faulty systems to reach an accurate diagnosis enabling the repair to be affected.
  • Perform planned maintenance services to Fire and Security systems.
  • Provide 24-hour call-out cover on a rota basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintaining of fire detection, access control, CCTV systems, and intruder alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant Fire Alarm standards (BS:5839:2017) and Security System Standards (PD 6662:2017, BS 8243:2010+A1:2014 etc).
  • Excellent Diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Able to operate PC software packages used for configuration and maintenance purposes.
