Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Overview:

  • We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee and manage mechanical maintenance and reactive/remedial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the mechanical team, including Plumbers, Gas and Oil Engineers.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant legislation.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive/remedial repairs, and statutory inspections.
  • Compliance & Safety: manage processes for Gas Safe and OFTEC, conduct site audits and inspections to ensure safety and quality standards, investigate incidents, and produce reports with corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership: provide technical guidance to staff and apprentices, conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, maintain effective communication within the team, engage with the H&J Martin Academy.
  • Resource Management: coordinate with scheduler to ensure resource availability, monitor and manage productivity of the team, review and ensure accurate documentation, monitor material specifications and availability for scheduled works.
  • Systems & Reporting: use CAFM systems to plan, allocate, and track work, maintain accurate records for compliance and performance monitoring, ensure all remedial works are captured and processed.
