Job Title: Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is a contract opportunity for two positions in Co. Tipperary.

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving related design documentation.

  • Partner with local site project teams to scope changes on the DeltaV system
  • Participate in Agile sprint teams for software development
  • Participate in commissioning and qualification activities, including FATs, loop testing, onsite commissioning and testing
  • Follow the SDLC Procedure to implement changes (covering RS updates, RTM Change control, Implementation and test)
  • Ensure software is implemented in a safe fashion with quality as a necessary output
  • Configuring and testing in development system as required
  • Educate local project teams on automation standards as they relate to technology selection, system configuration, SDLC, validation, hardware, software environments and business processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree
  • Training completed in DeltaV standard and batch
  • At least 3 years of experience in DeltaV application
  • Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis on capital projects
  • Excellent understanding of cGMP's, SDLC methodologies and LEAN/MPS/Sigma principles
  • Excellent facilitation, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Experience commissioning DeltaV systems in GMP manufacturing facilities
