Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operator team on shift, ensuring the production process runs safely, reliably, and efficiently.
  • Ensure the production plan and shift priorities are met.
  • Create shift schedules, assign duties, and monitor team performance, ensuring standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • C oach and train operators, ensuring safe use of equipment and adherence to procedures.
  • Proactively engage with Maintenance, Quality, and other teams to ensure smooth operations and collaboration.
  • Take ownership of customer complaints and lead investigations to resolve them.
  • Provide comprehensive handover reports at the end of shifts to ensure continuity.
  • Drive continuous improvement through engagement with lean tools and cost-saving initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Food Science or a related field, or production management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years' experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with GMP, Hygiene, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Strong ability to coach and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to managing the team and operations.
