Production Supervisor

As a production supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and leading a team to deliver high-quality products efficiently and safely. This role is crucial in supporting business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the production lifecycle from steel fabrication to final assembly and finishing.
  • Monitor and manage output to meet scheduled targets and customer deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal specifications.
  • Lead a team of fabricators and operatives to achieve operational excellence.
  • Set performance goals, provide mentoring, and support skills development.
  • Promote a positive, solutions-focused culture on the production floor.
  • Collaborate with the design office to ensure production aligns with technical specifications.
  • Work with procurement to secure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of finished products.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles where applicable.
  • Ensure all operations meet Health & Safety Authority (HSA) standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, ideally within steel fabrication or construction manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead production teams in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of steel fabrication techniques (e.g., CNC, cutting, welding).
  • Background in manufacturing systems and process optimisation.
  • Third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (desirable).
