Job Description for Global Logistics Coordinator

We seek an experienced logistics professional to join our team as a Global Logistics Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing logistics activities across multiple locations, ensuring smooth and efficient supply chain operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and manage logistics activities, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing services.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics activities with other business functions.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with logistics providers to negotiate rates and services.
  4. Monitor and analyze logistics costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including customs regulations and trade agreements.
  6. Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of logistics activities, including tracking and tracing shipments.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, responding promptly to queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of logistics tools, systems, and processes.

About You:

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination and management, preferably in a global or multinational setting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of logistical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Qualifications such as CIPS, CILT, or equivalent.
