Job Description: As a Senior Financial Director, you will lead the finance function, delivering complete, accurate, and timely monthly management accounts. You will report financial results to senior management and group-level stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Additionally, you will prepare annual statutory financial statements and tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function, including delivery of complete, accurate, and timely monthly management accounts.
- Report financial results to senior management and group-level stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements and tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Own and manage the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Maintain and optimise the finance systems, including the general ledger and cost centre structures, to enable effective cost control.
- Oversee cash management and treasury functions.
- Manage payroll processes as required.
- Ensure all financial internal controls are in place and effective in line with group-wide policies.
- Take ownership of the internal control framework (BICS).
- Serve as a member of the Company Board and Pension Trustee Board.
- Lead the Procurement and Stores & Supply functions.
- Support the IT department and provide strategic input into digital infrastructure planning.
- Undertake additional tasks and ad-hoc projects as required by the General Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior finance role.
- Proven track record of financial leadership in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Strong people management experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with solid knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Experience in capital and project accounting, including fixed asset design.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and IBM Maximo is highly desirable.
