Job Overview

The Clerk of Works plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. This includes conducting thorough site inspections, monitoring progress, and verifying compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
  • Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety protocols and on-site awareness
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers
  • Identifying and reporting construction defects or discrepancies
  • Supervising repair, construction, securing, or demolition activities as necessary
  • Issuing certificates of compliance and preparing cost estimates
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and written records
  • Leading employees and ensuring corporate policies are upheld

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar capacity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
