Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated childcare professional to lead our team of early years professionals in providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to 12 years.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of the childcare service, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, liaising with parents and external agencies, and managing resources and operations in line with national best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team of childcare staff
  • Ensure compliance with TUSLA, Department of Education, and Food Safety standards
  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children
  • Implement and review Aistear-based curriculum
  • Liaise with parents, families, and external agencies
  • Manage rosters, HR issues, and staff development
Essential Requirements:
  • QQI Level 7 or 8 in Early Childhood Studies (Level 6 with strong experience may be considered)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in childcare, with 3 in a management role
  • In-depth understanding of TUSLA, POBAL (ECCE, NCS, Core Funding), and the HIVE platform
  • Proven HR and team leadership experience
  • Familiarity with Child Protection and Safeguarding Guidelines
