Our Organization Seeks a Senior Nursing Professional

**Job Description:** We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nursing professional to join our care home team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure that our care home maintains the highest standards of nursing care, promoting a homely environment where residents can thrive. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and direction for nursing and related services;
  • Supporting the implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines across all levels of staff;
  • Ensuring Epicare is up-to-date and performing spot checks and internal audits of documentation;
  • Driving continuous improvement and best practice in the home;
  • Representing the care home in the absence of the DON;
  • Coordinating quality and safety systems, including clinical risk management and resident involvement.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:** The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant ADON or acting ADON experience;
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI);
  • Demonstrable clinical and professional ability, leadership, communication, and organizational skills;
  • Working knowledge of HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines;
  • Post-registration qualification in gerontology and/or dementia care is highly desirable.
