Job Description

As a Manufacturing Technician Apprentice, you'll be at the heart of our high-tech, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll learn how to install, maintain, and improve advanced manufacturing and packaging equipment while developing key skills in mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and operators, picking up problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and real-world experience. Your role will involve:

  • Learning how to set up, maintain, and improve high-speed automated production equipment
  • Working on real projects to improve efficiency and quality and learning about Continuous Improvement Methodology
  • Assisting in testing and troubleshooting new equipment
  • Collaborating with different teams like Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you'll need one of the following: Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) - with at least a Grade 06 in Maths and English/Irish OR QQI-FET Level 5 qualification. You'll also need to be available for 15 weeks of college-based learning as part of the apprenticeship program.
