**About the Role**
A Senior Manufacturing Engineer is required by a multinational medical device company to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role will be based in Galway and involves working with various stakeholders to drive efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
- Plan machine arrangements within plant facilities to ensure an efficient and productive layout.
- Establish sequences of operations and procedures for tool and equipment fabrication, influencing product performance.
- Adapt machine or equipment design to align with factory and production conditions.
- Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into production plans as needed.
- Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency, initiating corrective actions to ensure product quality.
- Develop manufacturing processes suitable for statistical process control and may establish these techniques.
- Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and specifications to maximize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Evaluate and implement regulatory compliance across processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- A Level 8 degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience within the medical devices industry.
