Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems within the tunnel. This involves conducting routine checks, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal system performance.

In addition to maintenance duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing records and documentation related to all maintenance activities. This includes ensuring that day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance work orders are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Flexibility is key in this role, as the successful candidate may be required to attend and manage contractors during maintenance operations, including tunnel closure works. They will also assist in the implementation of equipment and system upgrade projects and manage and support projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, performance, and availability.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to provide on-call cover for out-of-hours maintenance activities. A time-served electrical qualification is a minimum requirement, and experience in MV systems is desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fully qualified electrician with 5 years' experience in maintenance
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
