As a compassionate Health Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive care including personal care, monitor patients' conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Personal care includes assisting with bathing/showering, washing, shaving, oral hygiene and continence requirements. General observations and updating patient records are also crucial tasks. You will also provide support and encouragement to patients and handle manual materials safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal care- assisting with bathing/showering, washing, shaving, oral hygiene and continence requirements
  • General observations and updating patient recordsProviding support and encouragement to patients
  • Manual handling- using hoists/slide sheets

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent – minimum 2 modules including CareSkills & Care of the Older Person)
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Manual Handling & Patient Moving Training (we can provide free of charge)
  • Safety Intervention Training( We can provide free of charge)
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
