Support Worker

Camphill Communities of Ireland is recruiting for a Support Worker - Disability Services role. This position involves providing person-centered support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring their needs are met and promoting their independence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current policies and developments in social care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Developing and implementing person-centered plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services and promote a culture of respect and inclusion.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A minimum of a Level 7 qualification on the QQI Framework, such as a BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
- At least one year of experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- A full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
