Job Description

Laboratory systems play a pivotal role in ensuring the precision and quality of laboratory results.

Main Responsibilities:
  • As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for implementing and configuring laboratory systems, including data management systems, instrument control software, and other related technologies.
  • You will build and maintain lab IT systems to support tech transfer/commercialization and manufacturing of biologics, monitoring their performance according to cGMP and SDLC standards.
  • Implement industry best practices specific to laboratory systems processes that support sample management, testing, and validation.
  • Evaluate and ensure site laboratory systems comply with changing requirements and trends in worldwide GMPs.
  • Develop training programs for relevant personnel on the correct application of site laboratory system procedures.
  • Proactively participate in processes to ensure that laboratory systems continue to function effectively and that improvement/remediation actions are taken.
  • Continuously improve laboratory systems by identifying and building in efficiencies as necessary from a systematic and compliance perspective.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to support overall business needs.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in a technical discipline, e.g., biochemistry, chemistry, or engineering.
Experience and Skills:
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in laboratory systems.
  • Previous experience with configuring, building, maintaining laboratory management systems, such as LIMS, LabX, Empower systems.
  • Understanding of analytical methodology, including HPLC, ELISA, glyco analytic, bioassays, PCR, capillary electrophoresis, and compendial assays.
  • Familiarity with GMP, ICH, USP, and global compendia regulations and guidance, particularly as related to analytical method development and validation.
