About the Role

As an Asset Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of new projects from an operational and service perspective. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and contractors to provide end-to-end support, from financial investment decision through to operational handover.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in renewable energy project delivery and operations asset management, with a strong focus on technical, commercial, and contractual expertise. They will be responsible for leading the development and review of tender documentation, evaluating and comparing tender submissions, and negotiating service contracts to optimize value.

This is a mid to senior-level role that requires strong organizational and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of integrity and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment, working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of new projects from an operational and service perspective
  • Lead the development and review of tender documentation for the operations department
  • Evaluate and compare tender submissions, providing clear recommendations based on technical, commercial, and contractual considerations
  • Negotiate service contracts with confidence, securing terms that optimize value
  • Act as a senior point of contact for contractual queries, offering expert guidance to colleagues across the wider department
  • Support project-level asset management activities as required, contributing experience and insight to ensure operational readiness and excellence

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification in engineering, data science, or a technical discipline
  • Extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, ideally in an operational or contracting role
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
