Job Role: Construction Planner

We are seeking a skilled construction planner to fill a key position within our residential development sector in Ireland. As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring programmes are practical and efficient while maintaining compliance with Irish Building Regulations, planning permissions, and Health & Safety legislation.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in construction management or engineering, with a minimum 3–5 years' experience in planning within residential construction. You will have proven experience as a construction planner, preferably within the residential development sector in Ireland, and proficiency in Asta Powerproject software (essential).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Validate lead times with suppliers and integrate them into the programme.
  • Contribute to value engineering and buildability reviews, ensuring programmes are practical and efficient.
  • Maintain compliance with Irish Building Regulations, planning permissions, and Health & Safety legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical understanding of the Irish housebuilding process – from greenfield site to handover, including groundworks, utilities, timber frame/traditional build, and fit-out.
  • Knowledge of Irish construction regulations, planning requirements, and BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills.
