About the Role
The Senior Product Engineer will play a critical role in supporting various product lines in our $1 Billion diabetes business.
This role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product lifecycle engineering strategies that align with business objectives.
- Lead engineering projects through change control processes and ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing plants to resolve issues and improve product quality.
- Maintain robust design history files and ensure adherence to design verification and validation processes.
- Conduct competitive product analysis and device compatibility testing to inform business decisions.
- Design and develop test equipment and procedures to validate product compliance with ISO standards.
- Manage and mentor junior product engineers to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, preferably in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 7+ years' experience in medical device design or R&D with a successful track record of delivering products to market.
- Strong understanding of polymer material science, injection molding processes, design verification, and GD&T 3D CAD modeling.
- Experience with statistical analysis, test method validation, and project management.
