Job Description:

The Matrix Recruitment Group is currently seeking a Senior Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to join their team in a leading national company in the manufacturing of bread and bakery products.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent salary. The role will suit an experienced professional, particularly one with a background and experience in Food Safety and Quality Systems. The candidate is required to ensure good manufacturing practices are in place, operational, and maintained to meet all customer and legal requirements and to ensure a high level of food safety, quality, authenticity, and legality in all products produced.

About the Role:
- Responsible for the Quality Food Safety systems on site to include HACCP / Plant Hygiene / GMP / Pest Control / Internal Audits / Customer Complaints
- Ensuring the systems in place deliver product quality to agreed specifications consistently
- Responsible for all matters relating to food safety and encouraging/promoting Quality Culture throughout the company

Key Responsibilities:
  1. 1. Responsibility for the Quality Food Safety systems on site to include, although not exhaustive:
    - HACCP / Plant Hygiene / GMP / Pest Control / Internal Audits / Customer Complaints
    - Mondy to Friday role with Saturday's as required.
    - Ensuring the systems in place deliver product quality to agreed specifications consistently.
    - Responsible for all matters relating to food safety and encouraging/promoting Quality Culture throughout the company.
    - Working closely with site Management and Team Leaders to lead a culture of continuous improvement.
    - Training of all staff on site.
    - Play a key role in audits on site i.e. 3^rd Party, customer, regulatory.
    - Management of the site hygiene department.
    - Management of contract cleaning.
    - Planning and implementing corrective/preventative actions as required.
    - Ensure company policy and operational standards are always maintained.
    - Identify and action cost reductions.
    - Complete your duties while working in line with the site Health & Safety requirements.


Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in a Food Safety/Quality Assurance role.
- Auditing experience to include internal, customer, regulatory, and 3^rd Party.
- People management experience.
- Flexibility.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer literate.
